Let me introduce myself.

Hi, My name is Groud and I'm 28 years old. I like cats and enjoy long walks on the beach... Here's the truth: I am sometimes socially awkward, somewhat clumsy and avoid holding babies because I drop things. I was born for awesomeness though, not perfection.

I'm a self-taugh web developer who is passionate about design and eye-candy in general. I'm a son, a brother - analog at birth but digital at heart - working daily to create version 2.0 of myself.

My education.

My education is not formal and somewhat unorthodox. After leaving high school with a full GCSE/O'Level certificate I invested many hours into learning different software and technologies.

I strongly believe that meaningful education doesn't always come in the form of a university degree. As such, crafting my own education was and still is my primary focus.

Luckily for me there is a wealth of online resources to aid me in this. It's amazing what you can learn with a search engine and some discipline.

I am working hard to aquire new skills and build on my current skill set. Personal education is a priority so I am always open to learning both news things and new ways of doing old things.

Business Operations Assistant I
@Ministry of Tobago Development
Human Capital Development

June 2012 - May 2014

My responsibilities were always fluid. Some days were very clerical in nature(typying, printing, researching and compiling data) and other days were more adventuous(accompanying my supervior to various locations, event planning, some heavy lifting and even chaperoning). I did a lot of work that was outside my job spec but I think that's why I enjoyed it the most. It broke the monotony of office work.

Skills honed:
How to be be fluid and flexible.

Office Assistant
@Memeber of Parliament (Tobago West)

April 2011 - May 2014

This is what I can do for you.

I help build brand trust and loyalty through engineering a consistent and impactful user experience. I focus on bringing content to life through the thoughtful application of colors, iconography, typography and code to create a user interface with impact!

This is how I do it.

Ideas are worthless unless they can be implemented and implementation is only effective with proper planning.

Prototyping is extremely critical for design and development. It is the proving ground where code and design are either improved on or discarded.

The bi-product of proper planning and effective prototyping is a "living" digital experience. I turn ideas into experiences.
